A beginner/intermediate practice focused on creating space and flexibility in the body through precise alignment. Suitable for everyone interested in understanding the finer qualities of aligning one's body for optimal performance as a yogi, climber, runner or walker (or shopper!).
core strength and sheath stretch
This Vinyasa flow will move through a series of dynamic, static, and balancing postures to strengthen and stabilize the muscles in the core. This class is designed to challenge your body while moving with breath. Having a strong core will help improve your balance, coordination, posture and confidence in all aspects of life and athletics. We will conclude with deep stretching in yin postures, to stretch the connective tissues of the body, the tendons, fascia, and ligaments, with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. This class is open to all levels.
Core and Grip Strength Vinyasa
Come refresh and restore with a playful flow that will focus on core strengthening, building grip strength, and deepening hip flexibility. Come to discover yoga or deepen your practice: Climbers and non-climbers welcome.
gentle flow yoga
Similar to Gentle Yoga but with a flow! Students will explore flowing from one pose to another with attention on breath awareness and proper alignment. We will incorporate variations of downdogs and planks as well as breaking down the basic yoga poses, which are the foundation of a flow (vinyasa) class. This class is suitable for any level.
intro to yoga for younger minds
This class is designed to introduce kids (10+) to a mindful approach to yoga. We will explore ways to calm the body and mind through breath awareness and basic yoga poses. The skills taught in this class become a strategy for kids to take off the mat!
Finding the balance between strength and flexibility through linking breath (pranayama) with conscious movement. Concentrating on proper alignment and engagement of core muscles and discovering your bandhas (energy locks). Focus on one "PEAK" posture in class. This class is warm (heated to 80 degrees) and is open to all levels.
slow flow vinyasa
Embracing the flow of sun salutations, Slow Flow Vinyasa classes are designed to bring awareness to breath and body. Suitable for beginners or more seasoned practitioners, students can expect to learn proper alignment and breathing techniques to open the body and mind for increased health and wellness.
Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a mindful flow, which will awaken their strength, energy, and flexibility. Expect this class to include traditional asana (poses) and sequences: sun salutations, standing poses, seated poses, backbends and an opportunity to learn/practice inversions. Open to all levels.
Summit Sunday is a donation yoga class held on the last Sunday of each month to benefit a different local, national, or international cause. Summit Sundays are practiced out in the climbing gym with plenty of space. All levels and ages are welcome! $10 suggested donation (cash or check only)
